SBAOC HAS A CERTIFIED PSS SRT INSTRUCTOR

Mikko Cuevas passed the Single Rope Technique Assessment with Chico Estrera, Eric Bontuyan, Jason Garrido, and Mark Dia as assessors during the the 15th PSS Congress held in Surigao City last April 20-24, 2015. Mikko is now a holder of ID# PSS IIT-39T as a certified SRT instructor of PSS.

It’s a feather in the cap of SBAOC as only two new certified instructors were added, including Ryan Salazar of West Visayaz Speleological Society, to the original pool of PSS instructor for SRT.

The PSS through its pool of assessors conducts regular assessment since 2012 to PSS members who wished to become trainors for Basic Caving Course, Cave Mapping and Surveying, Cave Rescue and Single Rope Technique. This program was conceptualized to ensure standard training is provided to all PSS members and partner agencies like DENR and LGUs. Congratulations!
